World’s dreadful Cities

1. Antofagasta, Chile
Antofagasta is a port city in northern Chile, about 700 miles north of Santiago. It is the capital of Antofagasta Province and Antofagasta Region. According to the 2012 census, the city has a population of 345,420. Formerly part of Bolivia, Antofagasta was captured by Chile in the War of the Pacific and the transfer of sovereignty was finalized in the 1904 Treaty of Peace and Friendship between the two countries.

2. Luxor, Egypt
As the site of the Ancient Egyptian city of Thebes, Luxor has frequently been characterized as the “world’s greatest open-air museum”, as the ruins of the temple complexes at Karnak and Luxor stand within the modern city. Immediately opposite, across the River Nile, lie the monuments, temples and tombs of the West Bank Necropolis, which includes the Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens.
